About me

I am a handmade collage artist originally from southern Spain and currently living in St. Louis, MO. Collage became a part of my life in the winter of 2019 and became an obsession shortly after. My collages are cut by hand from magazines and other discarded materials. I create to convey the conflicting thoughts that often hijack my mind. My inspiration mostly comes from my own mental struggles, nature, current events, and the absurd.

My interest in collage began as an urge to reuse beautiful images and create a new narrative. The infinite possibilities of collage, as well as the inherent limitations of the medium are thrilling. The process of creating a collage can takes weeks from conception, to searching for images, cutting, placing, thinking, reorganizing, and finally gluing. Recently I started incorporating my own photographs into collages.
